    I am not really sure on the credibility of that list anymore... I feed my chickens apples and tomatoes... I have thrown onions in my compost but they never touch them. I worry more about flowers that I have planted poisoning them.

    Sorry, I did not see that you had posted on the thread!!! Yes, you can get the vaccine AND use medicated feed. Medicated feed will not prevent Mareks!!! only Cocci.

    Even just setting them on a brick or two helps! They love to dig in those shavings. And you have a lot more chicks to come!

    Brooder box or 2-- just in case, boo boos can occur Red bulb-- If boo boos do occur, chicks will be less likely to peck/cannibalize the hurt chick Pine shavings-- covered with paper towel or not, I have never had a problem with chicks eating the chips Heat lamp that is ONLY from a pet...
