It was 107 F yesterday, supposed to be 111 F today. Unfortunately, I lost one of my birds yesterday to the heat. She was my oldest bird, a little over 6 years old.

I have been dealing with mites and lice today too. Luckily, I check my birds regularly so I caught them before it got out if hand. Have to get DE tomorrow but cleaned out the entire coop and sprayed it down, checked and treated the birds. First time having them... thinking it's because it got...
DE (diatomaceous earth) helps. Sprinkle where they sleep and dust bath. Or dust the birds with it. Before you do that, want to clean out the coop and scrub it down.
