Yo everybody!
Hello to all the new peeps that I have missed as I've not been here for quite awhile. Tis good to see some of my old friends still posting here.
I also see there's no night crew either. Dang.
Anyway, just stopped by to say Hi! I was 1,000 posts behind so I just read the past...
I have RIR layers and they produced last winter without additional lighting. The production dropped by 50% as expected.
Sunlight is needed but not an every day thing. 14 hrs of light is needed to keep production up.
Hey RobB, congrats on our pending retirement. Heck yeah, I'm up for that.
I've been gone a few days and just got back.
BTW, I've tried to call you and left a message. Right after you called, but I missed the message you left for a day or so. I hate phone tag!

Me and #1 son limited out on the fishing trip.
Was a 1st for me being out on the Pacific. 28 miles out, sun finally burned off the haze and it was a beautiful day out of Westport, Wa.

Good morning everyone! Yay, woke up looking down at the grass, whoot!
A REALLY BIG WELCOME TO ALL THE NEW PEEPS!!!!!
Well, I'm off to Westport for some fishing off a charter boat. Yipppee
My walk-about brooder Arbuckle is now going into mother mode again. Sigh, I guess I'll make up the broody pen again and give her 8 eggs to sit. I don't mind the little extra work it takes, it's the dang waiting!
