Free chickens for anyone that is interested. These are NOT mine. I just happened to see the craigslist posting:

I understand if you hang reflective aluminum pie tins and old CDs that spin and flash, it will confuse the hawks and they'll leave. I looked for a good reference but couldn't find one. Anyway, it might be worth a shot.
No unfortunately. Thank you so much for caring/asking.
Shakopee is a neighboring suburb, so maybe the sanity is moving closer!
And thanks for letting me know about the link. I think I fixed it.

Well this is GREAT NEWS for Shakopee and overall for the rest of us who live in suburbs that think they are too high and mighty for chickens!
We currently have zero pets. I would like chickens and a doggie or two. If I lived on a farm I'd have horses, bees and barn cats. But alas.....
Your garden sounds fantastic. We grow loads of flowers here but not really a space for a veggie garden that would actually get sun. I'm really...
I find this super interesting and fun! I haven't read this entire thread but you just put the universe on notice for what you plan on doing! I can't wait to read what happens next! Sorry for all the explanation points but this is COOL.
No....not fair at all. Thank you for understanding. I feel bad for your poor friend. My family still lives where I grew up and several have coops so rehoming them if necessary would be the easies part of the puzzle.
I assumed pictures were required within 24 hours.
And don't you think when people meet for REALS in REAL LIFE there should be a picture of the two of you too?
