    INDIANA BYC'ers HERE!

Asking again, anyone interested in a Gold Brabanter Rooster? Hatched July 4, 2015. He is good with smooth feathered hens but not with frizzled hens. He's not very big for a rooster, we researched smaller breeds.

Here's my pretty frizzle Tolbunt Polish... This was before back end was plucked bald and bloodied. In some pictures you can see the other hens. The gold laced polish hen and then two cream legbars (those two stay broody most of the time). She is pecking at snow in one picture. We have to keep...

I too thought she must be more fertile, favorite gal but she has dried blood I just saw today where he has really hurt her. She's terrified of him and hides. When I opened the door to the chicken house she was trying to get out. She's never in the run because she's trying to hide from him. She...

HI everyone. I am trying to find a "non-dinner-table" home for our Gold Brabanter Rooster. His name is Road Runner and he was a July 4, 2015 hatch. He is beautiful and good with the hens except for our Tolbunt Polish Frizzle, he has pulled her feathers almost bald on back and she hides from...

Thanks The chicken on the far right is a Gold Brabanter rooster. Isn't he wild looking? He doesn't have his full adult coloring yet as these chickens are 5 months old. L to R are 4 hens: Tolbunt Polish frizzle, cream legbar, polish I was told was Tolbunt but wonder if gold laced or a mix, cream...

I haven't been posting lately, having more issues. I got 3 TP from a friend on Thursday. Having issues integrating the rooster as he is older and bullying the others. He was where they could see each other since Thursday. Then the new pullet arrived with leg issue. We thought she was ill at...

Our chicken house has an elevated concrete floor, we love it, put pine shavings over it. Before that it was dirt and we had a major headache controlling mice. It's easy to clean. We put it over the compost pile. We also have roosts on the corner with poop boards under it and thick vinyl on the...

I suggest a welded wire fence panel top with tin roofing covering part. Hawks would repeatedly land on bird netting 20 feet from my husband trying to get big grown chickens! A raccoon chewed through the bird netting too.
