I tried to candle my eggs.....I only checked a few since it is so early. I am sure the ones I checked are going well.

I will have to watch closely as they hatch to tell who hatched out of what. I will post pictures.....and I sure hope the Maran eggs were bred to her maran rooser and not her blue Ameraucana. That would be okay.....but I want pure Maran and won't know until they hatch or even feather out...

I thinking all the way to where I had to go to meet her so I could pick up the rooster that I would just trade eggs to be polite since she was after some Welsummer eggs that I had. Then she opened the cartons.....oh....oh .....I was in trouble......eye candy appeared.....lol When...

here is a pic of the eggs I will be putting in my incubator tomorrow morning. I really am excited about the 5 Maran eggs 1 Welsummer and the 6 Olive eggs....the rest are EE/Ameraucana eggs. I will be keeping pullets from this bunch since they will be all none related to my birds.

I just put my incubator away 1 and a half weeks ago. Hatched out 23 chicks and sold 6 of which the rest are in my basement since it is cold here in Canada. Said that was it until the new year......but.....I bought a new rooster and the lady happened to have eggs. I ask her if she...
