Anyone else setting eggs?

It would have be awesome to have had a hatch today.. but I woke up to snow that is the only times I hate having birds, Its so cold and the snow is so slick going down the hill in my back yard I usually end up on my money maker.. so yea But I cant wait til your eggs hatch you will have to post pictures. What kind did you set?

I set 50 Silkie eggs a week ago.
(And this after I told myself that I was NOT gonna hatch over the winter!)
I'm weak.

Yeah me too.SO WEAK.....I SWORE I would NOT hatch more til spring...
...BUT ...Mine are 14 days along, 3 days along ...and some on the wayl
So much for swearing off hatching.

Oh Im in.... I set BBS Orps 3 days ago and then some White orps and Lavender orps are on the way...HINKJC was having a special ..I could not say NO!! Really I couldnt!
So exxcitedddd about all.
The BBS are part English and i got a big gorgeous roo from my eggs from her last time.
Need more! (sure i do)

I love orps so much. but if you raise them and talk about them on here some people just get to fussy about them. Some people can be cruel Lol. so what if someones bird doesnt meet standards, dont critize it because you dont like it.. Some stuff on here gets taken to serious I believe.

Nice! You'll have to keep us updated with pictures of the eggs developing for us xD
I'm going to have to force myself not to go out and check on them every night, even though it's always so much fun to watch the eggs develop

In regards to our eggs, they're just some backyard crosses. Gold & Silver Pencilled Hamburg crosses, silkie cross crosses, crosses mixed with other crosses....also a funny coloured egg that was under the hen after I moved her to the hutch. I didn't put it under her, and I haven't seen an egg that colour before, so I'm excited to see what comes out of it!

oh I hope you do. When they hatch you will have to post pictures.

I will have to watch closely as they hatch to tell who hatched out of what. I will post pictures.....and I sure hope the Maran eggs were bred to her maran rooser and not her blue Ameraucana. That would be okay.....but I want pure Maran and won't know until they hatch or even feather out. Oh well more peep peeps are on the way.

Yay! Congrats! I will post picture later of day three. the mass has doubled the size and you can start seeing the veins already!

I'm not so sure how this hatch will go to be honest, it's blazingly hot outside and the hen has even rolled some of the eggs out from under her at times to try and cool them off. I'm watering her hutch like crazy, but really theres not all that much I can do to combat this heat ): Fingers crossed! I'm going to candle the eggs again tonight and see if they're doing anything. If nothings going at 7 days I'm taking the hen off the nest and I'll try again later in the year to hopefully avoid the worst of the summer.
