    My BCM's started laying several weeks ago and the eggs were nice and dark. Now I'm getting ones that are a lot lighter. Does the heat affect the darker shade of the eggs?

    I too think it's a cockeral. And he may be dark blue, my blacks were darker than that. (unless it's just washed out in the photo)
