    So now that we know we have 2 Roo.! We are going to be looking for another 2 "hopefully" hens! Any advice on the breed to get and anyway to insure this time we get a hen? Thank you to everyone who has helped us! I can tell I'm going to love this website!

    So are roosters generally sociable? Jack and "diva" are the sweetest little things. :( (Wondering how long I can hide this from my husband so he doesn't get rid of them....LOL.) Can 2 roosters be in the same herd? I can't help it....I love them already.! :-/

    Jack and Pearl are a bit older I think. We were told 3-4 weeks at the feed store back on 7/6/13. But they were already bigger than all others. Diva, Dixie and miss. K, are all about 8-10 weeks now. If told correctly from date of purchase. But the guy wasn't much help. :( Here is another close...

    I am new to having chickens. We have had them since July 6. Kids and I are enjoying them very much. Can you help determine the gender of our chickens? This is my husband's Buff orpington chicken. We named him "Jack", since we have a feeling he is a rooster.(but what do we know. lol)...
