i've hatched about 20 or so button quail and buttons are purely pets as the are way to small to consider eating but coturnix or jumbo cotturnix are often raised to be eaten,,,you can also eat their eggs since their just like chicken eats but much much smaller. a female quail will lay 1 egg a day...
