Nice thought, but what about the poor 'new chick'? She would have to endure what Big Chicken has done. If you are going to add chicks, add more than a couple so that the grief is shared. She seems to be making small but important steps by herself - be patient, Sue
I think you are doing just fine with her. It will take time for her to become 'integrated' with the flock - and only she knows how much time she'll need! If you want to sit with the girls chatting at them I'm sure they will enjoy it. I often sit out in the yard amongst them and they come visit...

She's very pretty! I think she will integrate given time. The fact that the others don't pick on her is encouraging. I think the same goes for her acceptance of you - give her time, maybe she has had some traumatic experience with people who knows? Keep us posted on her progress, Sue
