    Try this thread and see if it sounds anything like your hen. It also has a link to another good thread in it. If she is egg bound the Prep H isn't going to help but lubricate like KY or even mineral, or vegetable oil might. See if there is anything in those threads that sound familiar...

    What you are seeing for prolapse looks rather mild, that is why I ran it by some of the people in chat to see if they agreed. And that was the general opinion there too. Is she also acting egg bound?

    I know this is scary, but is it by chance just the prolapse that is red and nasty looking or is there more involved. Sorry to ask such a silly question but a prolapse by itself can look pretty nasty. Is the jelly like mass outside her body or still inside? Photos might help if you can get them...
