what was supposed to be a coop for a Sebright breeding project turned into a coop for a batch of mutts that unexpectedly hatched in June 2021. Here they are all snug last night and packed onto the top row for no apparent reason.
Hi all its been awhile! lil update; i have 6 hens now, all have chicks with them. 22 in total! not to mention my breeding quads of wyandotte bantams, my partridge variety have 3 chicks with them and my blacks have 7.

my friend Faith and I learned something interesting. If you cross a male Silver Polish with a female RIR, you get this little monstrosity that pops out large creme colored eggs daily! And yes this lil girl is now a member of my layer flock. Her name is A.J.
So my brother, without my prior knowledge, went to one of the local breeder's auctions an snagged a dark blue wheaten OEGB cockerel; BUT NO PULLETS. SO i guess until i get a few wheaten pullets, he's just a tiny yard bird :barnie

OOOO i like! Ill bring these up at this weeks family meeting :p If i can convince my dad on these, then I might just take them! They seem like a fun project! (the real hurdle would be to convince mom but she loves fat chickens)
