I gotcha :) Well maybe by the next few hatches I will get this down and do better! Right now I have to save money for some more coop/runs!! lol I need like 3 more! Of course I could have 5 more and fill them all!!! If I only had money!! LOL Thank you!
I've been told that weighing eggs is the best but just for knowledge, maybe stupid question, but what happens when some eggs within the hatch do different with weights? Or does that not happen. Just was thinking if you had some loose a lot and some didn't how would you rate what to do as a...
Well I was hoping someone with more knowledge would respond but I can say I did a dry hatch last time and had 6 hatch. I'm thinking you are doing right with humidity around 50 for lockdown. I had mine too high, which I didn't know, and it was around 70. I did have chicks but they were sticky...
Thank you so much for the encouragement!! I was hoping I was thinking the rt way....lol Tomorrow is lockdown and I will take a look and see if any movement and mark there air sacs!! I will update after. Thank you and good luck to all!
Yay!! So glad they are hatching! My temp did they same thing after I candled on day 14. It said 104 but couldn't have been for even an hr. Now I'm a little concerned its low.. Staying rt at 99 but I'm not touching it. I will find out Monday when I put them on lockdown who is doing good and...
I candled today! Day 14: I have 6 Blues and 8 BLRs still going strong. I hope they can hatch this time! All the air cells look great!! We will see what happens next week! Its amazing how your shipped eggs dwindle by hatch time Can't wait to see the ones that have made it! Good luck to...
OMG!! They are soooo cute!!! Pretty babies! So happy they are all doing good! I will have to try to take some pics of mine soon. Hubby is building a new coop/run today!! Think he was a little worried when I said I had 17 eggs that where looking good....LOL If I could just win the...
Yes its fixable but I had to read up on it. You need to tape feet straight. I had one of mine but it was late at night and didn't have anything and I think he might have died since he wouldn't stay off his back. I ended up sleeping with it and kept his feet flat on my stomach and by morning...
Hard to tell but it almost looks upside down from how it should be but looks like its working pretty good. If opening the bator didn't shrink wrap him I think it will be ok. I would give it a few more hrs or so.
I'm sure someone else will respond that knows a lot better, but my first chick if I can remember, took like 8 hrs or so to zip but then my last one I had to help after almost 12 hrs. Not sure that I can help with the answer..lol I just know it seems like once you help if others start pipping...
I guess I will just bring them back in at night..lol I just read they are ok as long as temp isn't below 80 and I'm not for sure at night. I really doubt it below 80 but just to be safe.
My chicks are 2 weeks old now and I decided to put them in cage outside for the day. I live in Florida and its like 90 degrees out. I was going to just bring them in at night but almost thinking about leaving them out?? Does anyone think there is a problem with it? They are eating and...
Hi! Love all the babies!! Hope everyone is doing good with there hatching! Today was day 7!!! I candled and out of 27 eggs 4 I got rid of from blood line, 6 are questionable and 17 are bouncing babies!!!! I think my thermometer is off The eggs just didn't seem warm enough but think they...
