Yes, those peafowl eggs only had to travel about 300 miles, but it still took 2 days priority mail. I don't expect to repeat this amazing feat anytime soon....now DH is asking what I'm going to do with all these peas??? I'm up to 26 chicks now, with 5 more in the 'bator...uh oh Ladies and...

The last 2 hatched! 11 out of 11!
Not a very good pic, but I didn't want to leave the lid off for long. These were incubated in my Brinsea eco 20 with auto-turn, and were transferred to the hova bator after hatching.
My peas are hatching! 9 out of 11 have hatched so far, and the last two are pipped and zipping! Best hatch rate ever, especially with shipped eggs. Will post pics later.
The worst thing about the staggered hatches is keeping the hatcher clean...bleh! I find that having a heat sink..marbles, rocks, etc. helps me stabilize my temps...that is if you have the room in the incubator. Looking forward to seeing how it goes with everyone!
I set 11 India Blue and 1 white peafowl egg on the 11th, so they should hatch by the 8th. I am going to have to stop hatching, but I just promise myself one more...LOL
