Well I guess the neighbor thought I was joking about his dogs. He found out last Sat when I shot and killed 2 of 3. Animal control and sheriff dept. said that I was totally justified for shooting and killing them as we are allowed to protect our livestock from predators and other animals. Since...

That's the confusing part. Instead of just keeping it our state, if it comes, we're able to sell across state lines and possibly infecting another state. Am I the only one who thinks this way?

Well, not a good day yesterday. My daughter called me at work and said she found our egg eater. Just happened to be one of our bantam cochins and the friendliest. So I had her put her in a cage and keep her seperated, hoping to try and break that bad habit. Well she calls me about an hour later...

Hello all. Been a few weeks since i posted. I tried a new wormer called Strike III. Seems like it was ok. Didn't seem to hurt any of the chickens. Don't know if it is the weather or the wormer, but seem to be getting a few more eggs. Have several girls that if they don't start producing are...

Hallow, I found it at TSC I think. I know they have it but not sure about Southern States. Their website is www.durvet.com. I hope that it works. Does say to wash hands after mixing it up. Comes with a scoop so if you want to only mix I think a pound or two of feed you can do it that way too...

I posted a question on here a couple of weeks ago about using Strike III dewormer and asking if there is a withholding period. Scottcaddys, thanks for your response, but the site you gave said the same thing as the bag. I did some more digging and found their website and it says that there is no...

If so how long do you have to give it to them & how long do you throw eggs away for? I know I should have done it sooner but........ Well you all know how...

Had some good rain last night. Several hours worh. Calling for more tonight and this weekend. I live near Lake Norman and the storms usually go around me. So far it seems like they are not. In the past, my mom, who lives about 15 miles across town, will have to pump water off her pool while I...

Sad news today. I had to kill my Lavendar Silkie today. Last night I notice she was wandering around the yard by herself. Others wouldn't be around her. So I caught her really easy, usually runs when we get near her. Well I noticed she smelled awful. Tried to look and see if i could find...
