Id put them out now and just keep plenty of cool water available and watch for signs of heat distress. I’d also keep them away from the adults as the inevitable jousting for pecking order activity would only
add to the heat stress for all.

My chicken yard hasn’t dried out since October
Was frozen good and solid until early March-ish but had been 4-6 in boot sucking muck since.
I’ve put 10 bales of hay, 5 bales of straw and 4 contractor size bags of wood shavings on it since September...

Got 11 Brown Leghorns and 4 Easter Eggers. Just put them out in introduction coop in chicken yard yesterday. Looks like I have 3:8 roo to hen in Leghorns and 1:3 in Easter Eggers.

I understand the problem with hands.
I have severe neuropathy in both hands and it only takes less than 5 min in below freezing for them to become too painful to think. I sometimes have to make 4-5 trips back inside to run under warm water to get feeling back to do morning chores of letting...
