Here is a BYC thread that clearly explains the difference in Ameraucanas and Easter Eggers. The confusion is hatcheries listing EE's as Americanas (the 'i' is all the difference LOL). There are lots of breeds of chicks that have the 'chipmunk' striping, like your Penny. I can't see if she has muffs (puffy cheeks) or green legs, but those are usually dead giveaways for an EE!- TaraBellaBirds
