2×4s are here!!!! Got these for $1.50 each
but i am going to build a bit different coop so i will have to start a new thread being it is not a wichita coop....

Well got it all taken down I should be able to use the hardware cloth and hardware (with a little black paint on them) but everything else is lost.
We are back to foundation and searching for materials again :)
Thank you! I am saddened that this happened, i thought i would come home and finish the nest boxes and finish painting not have to start all over with no chickens, especially when i had one poof ball that followed me like a puppy :(
So we got a call from our friend that we have lost everything :(
seems as if while on vacation the heat lamp fell or something and it was a total loss along with all my chickens...
we had someone watching them to make sure nothing was trying to eat them and that they had food and water.....

Still have the inside of the coop to finish and put the shingles on.
I cut up the 2x6 for the trim pieces, got all the shutters in and the doors.
I have been slacking a bit but have to get it done my chickens are out growing the Tubs I have them in even...
Found a great deal on 1/2 hardware cloth.
I bought a 36" x 100' for $60

Started assembling the coop on site today
Being that I am doing this by my self I needed to make simple jigs/helpers to act as an extra hand.
For the large front and rear truss this helped hold the piece up to attach

Started rough assembly in the shop today, (its cold out side) plus have access to all the tools with out having extension cords drug out. will semi disassemble it to move it out side and final build it and put coop sides and roof on.
