everyone has the question on weather to wash eggs before incubating if they are soiled...well questioned answered...product called tek trol....it kills all diseases and is super concentrated...please check it out...for the safety of your flock...alot of stuff is floating around and this product...- birdman55

birdmansmom.....has 9 out of 12 for her first hatch....with my incubator....wow...im shocked she did so well....just thought i would put that out there....not sure if she will post here....she is still learning....she had issues with temp spiking to 102 all the way down to 97 and still hatched...- birdman55

so here is the final chicken hatch number....started with 120...10 didnt make it to lockdown...and hatched 88 out of 110....which is an 80 percent hatch...thats including the eggs that were shipped to me....so really a good turn out....already collecting to put another 60 in since the incubator...- birdman55

well i had a super great hatch...and a great easter...got a pair of purple peafowl...hatched the quail and the chicken eggs...here are some pics great easter gift to myself this guy hatched and then his head got stuck in the shell...i looked in the incubator and seen a floating egg....lol...- birdman55

im not sure...where the pink ones came from....they dont look pink in real light...and the only birds i have are leghorns, dominiques, isa brown, ee...so i will pay more attention when collecting...i shall find out who is laying that color egg tomorrow...been getting close to 30 eggs a day now...- birdman55

use a pencil not marker...toxins can absorb into the embyro using a marker with pens just get a log book...right down your breeds...and assign each pen a number....then when you incubate...mark the pen number...that way you dont have to write anything else on it...simple enough...also when...- birdman55

so am going to set 60 chicken eggs that are mine....51 quail eggs that i just got in the mail, and 30 chicken eggs that i got in the mail...so total set 141- birdman55

getting ready to set...and that is not all the eggs....lol....was wondering on a egg question...some are porous like when you candle them you can really see it...i have not had luck with any of these types of eggs....and only one out of like 40 eggs gets this way....question was i ordered some...- birdman55

my fan also is on all the time....if you dont have the fan running all the time you will get hot spots...all incubator that have fans run all the time if its coming from the southeast like georgia be aware that most all packages have not moved from fedex...my package is still sitting in...- birdman55
