Mama Heating Pad in the Brooder (Picture Heavy) - UPDATE

It's not pretty, but it works. The chicks safe spot in the coop. I love being able to find what I need with what scrap I have laying around, especially for something temporary.

Mama Heating Pad in the Brooder (Picture Heavy) - UPDATE

Thank you! Yes I'll be finding a way before roost time tomorrow to make sure they have the ability to go in and out and still have their own privacy when needed. I havent been following on this thread much so I hope everyone is having great success. In this little coop of mine, as far as the MHP is concerned, it's a wrap! For the past two weeks, the chicks were in a grow out pen and had a separate run within the hen run. They're in their forth week...

Mama Heating Pad in the Brooder (Picture Heavy) - UPDATE

Mama Heating Pad in the Brooder (Picture Heavy) - UPDATE

Personally I'd stick with a dowel. You could double the wire on top if you're concerned about weight.. Kinda hard to say without dimensions. I found the sagging isnt much of a big deal anyhow. I have one dowel in the middle and it appears one side droops a little more than the other, but it...
