I'm sure. I gave her a full 35 days, an extra week, just to be sure she was really going to stick there. This was a week of truly broody behavior, after the clutch was laid. Idk why not a single one has hatched. Or well I guess it may have tried, but mom is a dragon so who knows what's under...

Advice from the experts again , I have a hen on her nest, but the eggs should have hatched by now, I'm thinking this past wknd at the latest. She is stuck on that nest tho and will NOT budge. I can't get within reach to swipe an egg to candle etc, much less remove them if they are bad. We were...

I've not had issues so far after the third day or so, the palm tom tried it on with the two hens, who promptly beat him into submission. It was actually kind of interesting to watch. About 10 days later the other hen was starting to sit and he joined her. Guess can't beat 'em join 'em. The two...

Quick question for the experts here. my hens are now laying, yay!!! They are s year old, been laying a couple months now. NY question is, two hens are really truly body ... On the sane nest. They cram themselves in there, and only one leaves at a time. One is a palm, one is a Bourbon. Is this...

This will sound crazy, but hang silver, reflective streamers in you yard. Think mylar balloons, a safety blanket cut into ribbons. A animal conservationist told my dad about this when a hawk nested in his tree. It really works. Hawks Dont like shiny fluttering objects.

I have a question that will show my newbie turkey status im sure, but here goes anyway. I gave 3 royal palm poults along with my mystery bronze, my question is, do palms come in solid white? I have one without any black markings at all. Shes lovely, but i was just curious. I got them from a...

I agree a thousand percent! It's absurd, but if I want my flock I have to play by the rules. It's a tiny town, less than 500 people and we are new here. I don't want to be the newbie ignoring the statute and wind up with a bigger restriction or ban. But dirt bikes tearing up and down my street...

That's part of my concern, them trying to roost in the trees. We have bears, Mtn lion, Bob cat, roaming dogs, if they get in a tree I may not be able to get them out. If the come down on the wrong side of the fence the town seizes the flock. Very strict. I also have two dogs of my own to protect...

They have a fenced run, and I'm building a new huge run. They are and will be fenced in. Our town requires " enclosures from which they cannot escape ". I can't have them flying over the 6' fence. All the runs are covered with aviary netting, but the new area has trees in a portion. The netting...

I was praying for standard bronze, BBB was NOT what we wanted, but I think it's what we have. A friend hatched the palms, so I needed a few lol. We really wanted heritage breeds. It's going to be hard to eat Herman tho, he/she is such a love! I'm sure I have 2 hens, one Tom but the other two...
