Anybody setting eggs this weekend? (4-25-15)

That's a great hatch :thumbsup What a little monkey that chick was!! Hope it hatches ok for you. My last three took ages to zip and hatch, but after my last hatch where I helped one finish zip and then had to cull it I was determined to stick to my rule of not helping at all. The three are still...

Thanks :highfive: I love the Ecoglow, but I do have a lamp for out in the brooding shed. I do wish though I had bought the 50 Ecoglow now with having more chicks. The Ecoglow is a more natural way to brood chicks as in they go hide under it like mother hen have a warm come out and go back under...

Yes you are right, I'm afraid they have been the wrong way. They should be set pointy end down and fat end up so the air sac is at the top of the egg. Do you have them on their sides now in the incubator? Incubating with them the wrong way can cause the chicks to be malpositioned in the egg. You...

That's great 7/8. The one you are unsure keep untill next candling just incase, they can be sneaky!! I'm on day 6 but going to candle later as most of them are polish so I will be able to see any development with their white shells. Ooh I'm excited can't wait to see how many I have got growing...

No 70% is fine for hatching no need to worry. Most people shoot for at least 65% many 75% plus. I've had mine hit 90% plus when a few chicks hatch all at once.

Hopefully not there is no way to tell for sure. You could try adding sponges to your incubator for more humidity. The more surface area of water you can get the higher the humidity. Good luck :fl
