I will try to post some pics tomorrow, but mine look like Gitabooks. The packing slip said they were 6 weeks old, but they look rather small for that age (or at least compared to my Sussex they do). I was also surprised by their beaks. They look longer and more curved. I'm new to chicks, so...
Today the Silver Laced Wyandotte juvie chicks I ordered from McMurray Hatchery arrived. They seem to be doing fine. I also wanted some buff brahmas but wasn't able to get them. Oh well, maybe next year.
I'm just starting out this year , but so far I have: Buff Orpingtons, Black Australorps, Barred Rocks, Black & Red Sex Links, RIR, Speckled, Light, & Coronation Sussex chicks. Now I'm wishing I'd also added some Wyandottes (silver laced and red perhaps), Buff Brahmas, and maybe a salmon...
