    Float test eggs when preparing for incubation?

    Float testing is 'passe'. If the egg is porus, it could allow the water to enter the egg...resulting in the chick drowning when it internally pips. Also takes the protective 'bloom' off the egg, allowing bacteria to enter the egg. Skip the float test and just candle the egg(s).
