Oh I like that idea about the flower boxes! That will also add more shade for them. Thanks for all your help and ideas. Have fun with your chicks.

    Horse trailer for coop?

I live in Kentucky. Our weather is all over the place. :) But they will definitely be let out every day for as long as possible. I'm always here to keep an eye on them and they will be about 20feet from the back door of my house.

    Horse trailer for coop?

Bulldogma built one.... https://www.backyardchickens.com/a/horse-trailer-to-chicken-coop-conversion This is a nice one! The trailer i'm looking at is smaller than this one. I just want my chicks to be comfy and safe. :)

    Horse trailer for coop?

I would build a large run at one end of the trailer. And be sure to put hardware cloth over all windows. There is partial shade most of the day too. I think the chicks might like it. :)

    Horse trailer for coop?

I would be sure to let them out early in the morning. We do have lots of raccoons and possums around here.

    Horse trailer for coop?

I thought I'd paint the top white to reflect sun in the summer. Our winters are not too cold. I'm not much of a builder. :(

    Horse trailer for coop?

I've been thinking about using a metal horse trailer for a coop. Anyone have any ideas about whether this is a good idea or not? Would ventilation be a problem?
