Welcome to BYC.
That must be one awesomely huge shed to hold 24 chickens. The usual guidelines suggest 96 square feet for a flock that size (though there is a certain point where the huge amount of overall space drops the per-chicken requirement down). So, an 8x10, a 8x12 or thereabouts?
Welcome to BYC.
Do you have before and after photos of your caravan to coop conversion and measurements of it's size? :)
If I remember correctly, a caravan translated to the USA is a camper or an RV, but I'm not 100% certain that it's not a trailer. :D
Here in the US campers come in a huge...
Sitting here in the middle of millions of acres of farmed timber it's hard to believe that regulations about the logging of old growth have a lot of effect on lumber prices but I'll defer to people who are more knowledgeable about it.
But the time required to grow lumber even under the best...
I'm going to start a build thread for the brooder, after which this will make more sense, but I'm going to use the sturdy staples to hold the hardware cloth then use the staplegun to put on the tarp specifically because I'll be able to get them back out. :D
Security doesn't come cheap.
I am doing a rush job on the brooder that needs to be set up and holding a good temperature by next Thursday evening (chicks expected Friday), and might not be able to wait for the new pneumatic fence stapler DH is going to order tonight so he's hunted up the box of...

The Kreg Jig resulted in the Little Monitor Coop, the oscillating tool fixed up the cabin where we spent last summer while this house was being built, and I couldn't list everything he's done with the router. :)
The tile saw, however, is mine and I laid the kitchen floor in our previous...
This is a good point.
Today I was given this coop and a brooder/playpen structure along with the 4 chicks I was expecting because my friend wants to list her house and needed to get this useful but unattractive structure off her property.
I'm going to "redneck" it into a walk-in, outdoor...
I don't remember what we paid for the Little Monitor Coop in 2014 -- a LOT less than the same materials would cost today.
I don't know what we're paying for The Chicken Palace and I don't know if DH is actually keeping track. Probably twice or three times what we'd have paid for the same...
