    Another Reason to Build a Full-Height Coop/Run

Thank you. I had a headache for several days, but not bad. I am now a tremendous fan of surgical staples. :)

DH just tried to photograph the week-old, healing wound and found that it's so well healed already that he can barely find it. I can barely feel it and there's only very slight pain when I push on it.

I'm happy to report that I was able to comfortably wear my sunhat and ear protectors while mowing.

The new Chicken Palace has plenty of headroom, but this structure is something I converted from a thing I was given. https://www.backyardchickens.com/articles/run-to-outdoor-brooder-conversion.76634/

They have a special tool to remove them. One pinched a little, the rest I barely felt. As far as I'm concerned, surgical staples are a great invention.

My staples are out. I'm supposed to be careful for a few more days because the wound could pop open and bleed, but it's a relief to have them gone.

I am indeed at home. Many places hurt and I found bruises in spots I didn't think I'd hurt. Nothing serious, but it's advisable to rest instead of spend 8 hours on my feet.

Actually, DH thinks I shouldn't go to work tomorrow. I am stiffening up now that I've rested a bit, so maybe, maybe not.

I know, it's like a bad joke. I was laughing as soon as my coworker picked it up off the floor and identified it.

It's not my week. I had a fall at work today. Literally slipped on a banana peel (I work in a grocery store deli and the lady making banana pudding had dropped a piece that missed the trash by *maybe* 2". So I have a banged up knee to go with my banged up head. This is a structure I converted...

The scary thing is that it's not even sharp -- just a regular cup hook, caught in exactly the wrong way.

No, I don't swear. A lot of hissing through my teeth though. :)

It's already starting to itch a little, which should be a good sign.

🤣 I confess to being vain enough to have worried about that. My hair is long enough to touch the seat of the chair I sit on and it would have taken the best part of a decade to grow back. Looking up stapling wounds on the internet I found that they don't usually shave for wound/surgical...

The headache has mostly receded, but returned when I bent over to clear a few weeds from around my young watermelon plants. So no more weeding today.

No, only half that -- 1.5-2". I suppose I stood up fast, but only from bent over at the waist to look into the spot between that concrete block perch support and the wall to hunched over -- since I know very well how low that ceiling is. But the hook was lurking in ambush. I've been at work...

I'm going to work today. I put my hair into braids while my scalp was still numb last night so I could just pin the braids up and not have to comb it until tomorrow morning. Actually the arm with the tetanus shot hurts worse at the moment.

All I did was stand up just a little too far. I really have no clue how Unfortunately, I am working. The doctor said that there was no risk of it opening up with the activities I described as part of my job. DH will be making dinner though. Yes, Moore Regional. The wait was 3-4 hours, not...
