DH just tried to photograph the week-old, healing wound and found that it's so well healed already that he can barely find it. I can barely feel it and there's only very slight pain when I push on it.

They have a special tool to remove them. One pinched a little, the rest I barely felt.
As far as I'm concerned, surgical staples are a great invention.
I am indeed at home. Many places hurt and I found bruises in spots I didn't think I'd hurt. Nothing serious, but it's advisable to rest instead of spend 8 hours on my feet.
