A fox would take it as well. Coyotes swim so it’s possible you have them.

The missing one is probably due to a larger predator. A raccoon eats there and rarely tries to move the kill. A coyote probably took the one and left no trace.

Raccoons come out in the day too. I use cat food to attract raccoons when I trap during the season.

You also have the long tailed weasel around and they are vicious. What were the wounds like?
