Which is why I prefer the door raised..or built as a Dutch door... so it can open all winter without using a shovel or a pickaxe.- Alaskan

You already got great info.. I would just recommend a steeper roof.. the steeper the roof the less snow it has to hold. Snow can get crazy heavy.- Alaskan
