I used those type of tweezers to remove the plug and scab as well. Our chickens also free range so I try to keep an eye on their feet, and we try to clean them when we can/need to.

I'm probably not changing it enough then (1 or 2 a day usually). How many times a day should it be changed? I apply neosporin everytime the bandages are changed
I have soaked her foot in Epsom salt and warm water a few times, I've done the surgery in her foot twice and afterwards I put neosporin on it and bandaged it up. I also have put peroxide over it.
So I have done surgery on this chicken 2 times and her foot hasn't stopped swelling completely. Am I doing something wrong? Does it look like bumblefoot? (I have been treating it as bumblefoot)
