    White Crested Polish Bantam...

We lost her last night. She died in our arms. My boyfriend and I cried pretty hard and our rooster jumped on my shoulder and came with us as we buried her. I will never order hatchery chicks again. Whatever happened to her musta happened there or being stressed from shipping. It truly isn't...

Thank you sooo much for all the advice and yes I have cut a couple screen windows so they can see every and have chicken wire for a lid. The one older girl flies already lol. But you’ve been very helpful and I’m very grateful :)

The thermometer reads 95. And the basement itself is 80 degrees. They are laying directly under the heat lamp in that picture... and their pen is a large kiddie pool with lots of room for them to move around so I think they’re okay temperature wise? They usually don’t line up like that and go...

I have been checking her bum, and putting antiseptic on her umbilical chord nubben like you suggested before and the paper towel idea seems smart, so I will give it go in the morning (I put everyone to bed about 15 minutes ago.)

Thank you for the advice! She still doesn’t eat or drink on her own, so I keep using the syringe, but most of the time is is running and playing.

    White Crested Polish Bantam...

Okay... she’s still not eating or drinking willingly. I use a syringe to put water with nutri drench in her mouth. I’ve tried so many times now to get a little crumble of food in there, or egg or crushed up meal worm. She doesn’t want anything. And she’s still being “narcoleptic” and shaking...

I did know there was only suppose to be one hole, however I did not know that chickens have umbilical cords. Crazy. But yeah it almost looks like another hole. I don’t wanna touch it’s though, aren’t they suppose to fall off naturally?

    White Crested Polish Bantam...

I gave her some about 20 minutes ago now. Had to sorta force her to drink. And she’s doing that weird thing with her mouth that other wild baby birds do where they tilt their head back and open wide, but she’s doing it whenever I’m not giving her something. Does that mean “I want more?” Shes...

    White Crested Polish Bantam...

Just got a white crested polish bantam today, about a day old or so, and she’s making me nervous. She doesn’t like to walk or sit. She just stands in one place awkwardly. And when she does walk it’s very drunkenly and she falls over a lot. I’m worried the 8 other little tikes will trample...
