    Don't worry so much about the lock down day to the exact minute. I have chicks hatch that I never put into lock down. Really. I put them into lock down when they are close to hatching, and if the air cell is looking good. If air cell is too small I wait to put them into a higher humidity...

    Frank, congrats on a sucessful hatch!! Great job on tacking the construction and then the first incubation ever. Eggs can be kept in the refridge according to 2 sources that I trust. ONe person lives in FL and has not cellar so he says he keeps egggs in the refridge and another person, in TX...

    FRank, did you candle them to look for internal pip? If they are genetically important to the flock, worth helping them hatch. Pete%% has oodle of info as he helps his parrots hatch if necesary. Good luck. Gld it worked out for you.
