Yes that treatment worked for me. It's probably stuck up there. The warm water will help her relax and hopefully let the egg pass.

What I did with my hen was put her up to her belly is some warm water. Not to hot though and soak her for 15 minutes make sure the water doesn't get cold. Then I would take her out and put her under a heat lamp or on a heat pad and let her dry off.
