Is other wild poultry allowed too? This beautiful partridge came towards me on a very short distance, because someone threw breadcrumbs on the street. Birds on the Madeira Island seem to be more tame as I know from elsewhere. :gigEven without giving them too much alcohol. 🍸

She still lays eggs in spring and summer, even though she becomes 10 next month. Must be because of the cocktail mix. 🤣 Btw the picture of @Poultry Kitten is marvellous. 😍

Kraai, who used to be a lonely chicken and couldn’t stay with the family because they moved to a house with a tiny garden. She arrived two years ago. Kraai and some of my chickens had a hard time integrating/accepting for a few weeks.

Thank for all your kind replies. ❤️ She was a 4 month old pullet and didn’t reappear. I had a message in the WhatsApp group of our neighbourhood. But no one spotted her. Sh** happens. My chickens are weather proof but unfortunately not prefator proof.

One nestbox is getting too small. I tried to put one mamma with 3 chicks in the other nestbox. But no, they prefer it cramped. ;).
