Sammy woke me up a couple nights ago with his Intruder Alert bark and insisted I go upstairs to check it out. I tortured the cat a bit today. The ten younger chicks are in the tote. She can see and hear them and is scratching at the side of the tote, but it never occurs to her to try going over the top so they're in no danger.
