They can't be reassigned now, we'd need an add-on. Articles aren't permanently deleted. When we delete an article (or a post, or a thread), it is hidden from view, but staff can still view it and it can be undeleted.

I'll see what Rob thinks. I do think it would be good to have some differentiation between poultry related and non poultry related content in the articles section. I just didn't want to add a section for something as specific as roleplaying, since this is still a site primarily about chickens...

That could be a good idea, I just think that we should avoid adding something as specific as roleplaying.

Like a section on the forums for discussion related to member pages, like role playing, etc., or an additional section under member pages for articles? For the former, that would already be covered under Random Ramblings and GJF, as the member pages section is appropriate for generic articles...

That has already been addressed: It's broken, it doesn't work properly. That's not a bad idea, but either way, ideally we'd be able to convert the articles that should be threads into threads, so content that could be well-suited to another part of the site isn't deleted.
