I didn't know that chicks had to be sold in lots of six. I have never even heard of anythting similar to that. Now that it's over, it seems it didn't matter because I ended up giving them away to a woman who wanted them, but said they were too expensive. I learned something new today. Oops.

I'm really new to chickens and I have never been to a "chicken swap." How does it work? Do you just show up with some chickens in a cage and say, "Hey, I like that chicken so I'll give you this chicken?" Will someone please explain this event for me?
My parents might let me come with my extra chicks that are coming tomorrow or the seventh. They will be about 5 days old then. The things I might be bringing are one buff orpington pullet and one silver laced wyandotte pullet. Maybe two buff hens, but don't count on it. I have waaaayyy too many...
