    It isn't my first winter. I think it's my third. Lol loosing track of the years now. The only problem is that my main laying flock is hitting 4 years old this spring. My other flock has a couple of layers but I mainly have silkies in that one.

    No, I don't think its insulated and it's made of cedar wood with metal siding.

    I have Orpingtons but they are nearing 4 years old and not laying very much anymore. I couldn't fathom getting rid of them for new ones though!

    Does anyone have any tips for helping chickens lay in winter? I've always been stumped by it and not sure what to do. All I know is to make sure they always have fresh water, food, and a clean coop.
