    We found the culprit! It was a massive raccoon! My father found it dead on the road today, and he said it looked as if it was running from our farm when it got hit. I think all of the remaining chickens (8 or 9) are alive. It got the karma it deserved.

    Possums are also a possibility, but we usually see them (and deal with them) before they do any damage. (They don’t seem to be nearly as smart as raccoons, unfortunately.) And I don’t think any of my tomcats (or that stray one-) would even try to kill a chicken, especially with my rooster...

    I would think so. (Theres literally food for it everywhere, cat food, chicken food, cow food, the cats and the chickens themselves...) We are probably going to set up a trap where the first chicken was killed, inside of the barn. Hopefully we’ll catch something that isn’t a cat...

    Two (one chicken, one kitten) were killed just outside the red barn, and the others (the other chicken, the chick and the last kitten) were killed inside said red barn. Edit: another was attacked (not killed) in front of the calf barn (right across from the red barn)
