I just tried to feed her the scrambled eggs and she wouldn’t eat them, Will broody hens not eat? I’ve only had to deal with two broody hens but they both weren’t as stubborn as she is.

Another update: She is more active today and has more of an appetite but still has a limp with her wing out and her feathers puffed up. She did lay an egg though so I think she is slowly improving!

I think we are talking about the same location, I can’t find anything wrong with her leg which makes me worry about Marek’s but i think she would have gotten worse and she’s still the same.

I did look at the bottoms, no bumblefoot or wounds eta. I agree, it’s so strange. I haven’t tried to palpate her leg so I will try that now. I have been checking on her every 30 minutes for 3 days so she’s super annoyed with me 😂

I would be able to see them while looking through her feathers right? If so then no nothing I can see, should I give her a DG bath just in case?

small update- she seems a little more active, I did look her over for mites, fleas, eta. And nothing but she is scratching A LOT . Her poops are also very small, like little chick poops but that could also be from her eating less. Hasn’t layed since yesterday.

I’m A little update, she is the same, still holding her wing out and limping, laying, but still going in the nesting box with her feathers puffed up. She is still eating, drinking, and scratching around but very little. I tried giving her water with a baby aspirin but she was not having it. I...

It feels swollen at the corner, and she is also puffed up herself. She could be broody but she is still laying so I’m not sure.

No wounds, I did find maggots in the coop, not sure if that could have something to do with it, I’m away tonight but will be back in the morning and then I will take pictures.

My year old buff Orpington has a slightly swollen wing that she is holding out and is limping on the same side. I separated her and gave her vitamins but I don’t know what caused it, she hasn’t layed and is lethargic. What else do I do?
