Here is the final product for the 6 egg bag. The bottom is reinforced with cardboard, interfacing has been added for a stiffer structure.

Now, I will have to make the customer version for 12 eggs. Tonight we are due for another blow, so I will work on them tomorrow. Today is shoveling and cleaning day. Shoveling and cleaning............... I am sick of winter already. 12 weeks till last frost date.

Cold temps and more snow................. Prototype#2 Shorter, more stable bottom and longer handles so it can go over my shoulder. The inside is made of 4, 2"x10" pieces of muslin sewed together. That seems enough padding with out batting. It is like origami with fabric.

Couple things I figured out as I laid in bed. I need to reinforce the bottom, maybe bring the handles around the bottom like canvas boat bags. And they need to be a little shorter. It is snowing out now and we are expecting 8-12" tomorrow.............. I'll keep you posted.

Sub-zero temps and boredom and I have prototype #1 I have to make it shorter I think. And I added handles.

I think I have a pattern for them but mine pattern has handles. Now I am going to have to dig it out and whip a few up. Let me see what I can do.
