Yum... you're right about that bullseye...Your neighbor got a Roo?
BTW... one of the chick's comb is turning pink and it's not even 2-weeks-old... Need a cockerel?
@Cyberous just went back to the March post to check out your first hatch. Looked great.
Since these are my first TJs, what signs to determine sex should I look for?
We were able to save the chick that pipped wrong end. My daughter named it Hope. We lost two that pipped when they got kicked around by the other... so sad
So we have 5... they are yellow with some black fleck, (Austra Whites or California Whites). I'll post pics soon.
Just realized... My...
Two are out. The chick that pipped on wrong side has an opening about 1/4 inch and it's going on 24 hrs. Not sure if/when I need to step in.
Forth egg has 3/8 in diameter opening and chick keep sticking it's beak out and chirping. Hope it starts to zip.
Nine eggs made it to lock down and I had to do it a day early (out of town). Got back and humidity was very low. Brought it up and hoping for the best.
Tonight is day 20 and no wobble or chirping. I can hope... send the vibes....
UPDATE: Just candled... The 6 brown organic free range were yokers. Guess there are no Roos on the range.
31 white Trader Joe's fertile, 6 had blood rings, 10 were yokers. 15 show development, thee to four may be quiters (will known next weekend). One egg has twin embryos.
