I kept a heatlamp. I tripple tied it up so no accidents could happen... no fires and i knew it couldnt fall. I used a 250 heat bulb. And the area was large enough that i kept the heated corner around 80 and they could get as far away or as close as they chose .

Sounds like your doing a good job and have a good plan in place. Thats great the bigger one is gentle. They may be together sooner than you think! :) Once in a larger area you can put up a heat lamp so the littles can use it if needed and the bigger can still be with them but get away from the heat

Yeah it will definatley take time. Go slow and give them short supervised time together. 4 week old ducklings can really injure a week old duckling easily. Hopefully with lots of time spent maybe in a couple weeks they will be used to each other.

Aww poor thing. I really hope it works out to get the other ducklings tomorow. I cant imagine much else will help if the mirror didnt. They just dont do well alone unless you can give them all your attention. Maybe trying some music or tv so there is some noise will help? I just hope you can...

I think the only good solution is to find another duckling Sorry you lost the other . They really need to be in pairs or more, and dont do as well alone at all.
