I wonder if you could make a sleeve for Raptor in colors coordinating to his feathers.

Looks good to me too. I think the yellow is just because it’s healthy. We are so used to seeing dried up crusty dirty scabs.

Wanted to put it out there. I’d hate to think someone paid good money for a product to help with healing and it’s not what they get. Sad that there are people who would rip off someone looking for help.

I’ve never bought Manuka Honey. I used sugar on my hen because of the location of her wound. I thought honey would melt and drip off. I have a bee keeper friend to get local raw honey from. That’s what I would use if needed. He also makes bee propolis which is great for healing. I have heard of...

My only warning on buying Manuka Honey is watch for fakes. With it’s popularity growing and price rising people are passing off regular honey as Manuka.

This is why I used the VCO. It was much more moisturizing then anything else. But you have the honey products....use those. No harm in trying them.

As they both heal the scabs will come off repeatedly. They get smaller and smaller each time as the wound gets smaller. Again, fantastic job! The girls are looking great!

Both are looking good! My girl with the hole in her side looked the same. The tissue looked funny but it healed. I sprinkled sugar under the flap and let it go. Try not to pick it up and check. It will eventually stick down and stay.

Yes sugar is a mess! If you think the skin is getting to tight youbcan give it a good coat of virgin coconut oil. It's very moisturizing and has healing properties as well. I also used it on her feathers to try to keep them from becoming a solid sugar blob.

My girl that I linked the thread to had a bit of a pocket. I put sugar in it! Literally lifted the skin a little and threw some in the hole. The sugar granules help the skin grab onto something. If you sugar the whole wound and apply a gauze pad, when you remove the pad anything not meant to...

You can buy stockinette at medical supply stores or online. It comes in different sizes and strengths. Some people have used toddler clothes for standard size hens to hold bandages to body.

I would keep an eye on the blackened bits. If it’s dead tissue it will need to be removed. I used sugar on a wound with great success. It may help debride dead tissue for you. I also used stockinette to hold bandages on but anything small and snug will work. A toddler sock maybe with a piece of...
