If the feed has amprolium, it's safe to eat the eggs. If some antibiotic is present (and that's not going to be available OTC any more in the USA) then don't eat the eggs. Medicated chick starter feeds have amprolium, so no issues there. Mary
My flock is locked in their coop and run from dusk until later in the morning; 10am to 12, every day. They get up at dawn, eat and drink, and lay many eggs in the nest boxes, before going out. They come back during the rest of the day to eat, drink, and lay eggs, and eat big before roosting...
