If you think the treats are working that's great, keep going with it then, maybe the hens will take their time and eventually submit to him, hopefully. :)
Hmm.. In return he gets aggressive? Does he try to jump on them or peck their backs in attempt to mate?
If you really want to keep your roo then maybe if you got new hens (younger then him) they would submit to him. If you have the space you could still keep your other hens and just add 2 new...
@Chicken_lady2202 any luck with the rooster treats idea?
... Surely some other people on here can offer some suggestions how to get your hens to squat for your rooster and your rooster to mate with them instead of your shoe.. humm.. @OneHappyRooster @Weeg @Eggcessive @ anyone who has any...
@OneHappyRooster (or tag someone who may know about behavior?) Do you have any suggestions as how to get this rooster to mate with the hens instead of shoes?... Hens won't squat for rooster so rooster doesn't mate with them.

... Yep try the treats idea I suggested, maybe it will take a...

Ahhh... well we're getting somewhere here... I'm not a real expert on behaviour but I'm sure there are others on BYC that could work with this info...
Hens don't squat for rooster
Hens will squat for you
Rooster attempts to mate with your shoe
Rooster dances around hens
Rooster 'tid bits' with...
Do the hens squat for him so he can get on? Or walk away ignoring his advances? Maybe he's too polite and if rejected (hen not squat for him) he doesn't jump on?
 Yes well especially cockerels seem to have a great urge to mate every few minutes!
...Doesn't the rooster dance mean he wants to mate? He does the dance, but the hens aren't squatting for him?.. and he might be too docile to just jump on and make it happen like a normal rooster would do.
Sounds a bit odd... Maybe something is a bit wrong with him unfortunately...
Just a thought... Does he 'tid bit' at all? Find the hens a special tasty treat and call them over? Maybe you could try giving him (just him) a special treat and he can call the hens over for it and maybe they will...
