My rooster is not mating

i hope for the same. I think he has good harmonies cause he humps on my shoe every few minutes . If only he did that to the chickens. He's one wierd roo

I've heard of roosters humping shoes.... but I always thought they would do the same to the hens.... Hope he'll figure it out!

will definitely try and inform .the thing is I got my boy as a baby chick and I am too attached to him. I just wanted him to live a normal life

Well you want to keep him since you are attached to him ... so swapping him for another roo is out of the question then, we need to figure out some tricks to help him throw his energy into mating the hens instead of your shoe!
... Yep try the treats idea I suggested, maybe it will take a few times doing it so the hens realize it is the rooster that is finding delicious treats for them.
..Hopefully some others can suggest some ideas...

Well apparently the problem is his head not his hormones
How many hens do you have? Maybe your flock is big enough for Roos?
