Now that I’m learning more on this site, I’m wondering if 19 gauge 1/2” hardware cloth or thicker welded wire would be better for around the bottom and over the top?

The camera would be great to see how they are trying to get in to keep improving their protection. I imagine we’ll have to add an electric wire at some point. Maybe it will deter them from coming back!

It’s been heartbreaking but learning quickly! Can’t wait to get the new, much more secure, coop up and running!

We are new to raising fowl. Started out raising 6 Rhode Island Reds this spring. We also have 4, 6 week-old guineas in a separate small coop. When we moved here there was already a tractor coop which we now learned does not keep predators out. :( We think a possum...the trap is set so we’ll see...
