Okay so after going back and looking at hatching dates I actually have 2 chicks from my satin hen! I think everyone has officially hatched that’s going to hatch so I have a grand total of 1 satin chick, 1 Silkie chick from my satin hen, and 12 Silkie chicks!

Depending on what they are mixed with, it’s hard to tell the difference, especially right away. My satins are born looking like silkie chicks until their feathers come in. Even then my satin hatches silkies too since the Roo is a Silkie and she’s half Silkie herself. Obviously they are still...
I still have silkie chicks hatching so these babies range from 1 week to 1 day old. There are 2 pictures of each chick. I currently have 8 babies. My hens still have 8 eggs that have little chicks moving around inside. ❤️
My satin hen didn’t successfully hatch any of her eggs so no satin babies...
Here are some pictures of the young ones. The two pullets and the showgirl Silkie are 7 weeks old. The bigger one is 3-4months old. I’ll be having the showgirl and bigger one dna tested soon hopefully. 😊

I unfortunately don’t have space for any other Roo so I won’t be keeping Tourmaline. 🙁
